Paragon Technologies, Inc. Names Ronald J. Semanick Vice
President And Chief Financial Officer
EASTON, PA, May 12, 2000 - Paragon Technologies,
Inc. [Amex:PTG], today announced that Ronald J. Semanick,
CPA, has been named Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
of Paragon Technologies, Inc.
Mr. Semanick is currently the Corporate Secretary
and former Controller of Paragon Technologies, Inc. He succeeds
William F. Moffitt, who has decided to pursue consulting
work in the mergers and acquisitions field and retain residence
in the Philadelphia area. Mr. Semanick is also the Treasurer
and Corporate Secretary of SI/BAKER, INC., Paragon's joint
venture company with McKesson APS.
In his position, Mr. Semanick will be responsible
for SI Systems and Ermanco's overall financial plans, controls,
and policies, along with accounting practices and relationships
with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial
community. He reports to William R. Johnson, President and
CEO, Paragon Technologies, Inc.
Mr. Johnson commented on the appointment,
"Ron has consistently been a major contributor to Paragon's
turn-around and growing success. His seventeen years' experience
with an established accounting and auditing firm and with
Paragon, will provide Paragon with extensive knowledge of
financial systems and controls, operational and strategic
planning, and investor relations. Now as a key officer and
member of the senior management team, we are confident that
he will be even more instrumental to the future success
of the Company."
Mr. Semanick has a BA degree in Accounting
from Moravian College and a MBA degree in Finance from Wilkes
University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania,
and holds memberships in the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified
Public Accountants, and the Institute of Management Accountants.
